Throughout my early childhood, tea times played a large role in my connection with my friends and family. Combining the art of tea leaf readings and conversation, this set of seven coasters focuses on fostering connection between people.
Each card contains a coaster, with a deptiction of a common tea leaf reading. When the coaster is removed, a question is revealed. this question is meant to guide conversation between individuals by providing a starting point to learn more. When the tea is finished and conversation is over, the coaster tags match the cards they belong to; facilitating easier cleanup and revealing the fortune linked to that symbol.
The icon is highlighted in gold. Made with wood and acrylic, these conversational coasters and holding cards are housed in a larger acrylic box with instructions laser engraved on the back.
