Being far from people you love sucks. Plain and simple. As college students, many of us experience this every day.
This project meets students where they are, making it easy to connect with someone they love. While missing people sucks, this interactive project aims to show that it is a communal experience and there are ways to find connection – even over distance. This project includes a set of 5 cards, each targetting a major emotion I feel when far from loved ones. Relying heavily on typography, each card has a unique feel. Labels on the back and interior card treatment create a cohesive feel throughout the set.
In addition to the five cards I designed five coupons, each relating to one of the five love languages (quality time, acts of service, words of affirmation, gift giving, and physical touch) for students to tear off and include in their letters to loved ones.
Letter-closing stickers, envelope liners, printed envelopes, and a collection mailbox for the written letters.
